Diversified Support Services is seeking a Quality Control Technician (Microbiologist) to support environmental monitoring, incoming materials, and quality control functions for our client in Birmingham, AL. This role plays a key part in maintaining cleanroom compliance, monitoring environmental conditions, and ensuring product quality through precise sampling and documentation. The ideal candidate brings handson experience in environmental monitoring (EM) sampling and thrives in a regulated, fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities
Perform routine environmental monitoring using air samplers, media plates, and temperature/pressure/humidity sensors in ISO Class 8 cleanrooms.
Manage thirdparty laboratory submissions, including environmental plates, endotoxin testing, USP compendial testing, and dose audits.
Conduct sampling for cleaning validations, gowning qualifications, and raw material powder collection.
Trend and present monthly environmental monitoring data to Operations and Quality teams.
Support label control, incoming materials documentation, and routine label printing and reconciliation.
Qualifications
Continued education in biology or related field plus two years of laboratory or cleanroom experience, including environmental monitoring.
Experience working with cGMP guidelines and cleanroom practices.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry, eQMS, and inventory systems.
Ability to gown for ISO 8 areas and work safely with microbiological organisms.
Schedule & Pay
Starting at $26 (doe), Weekly Pay
Monday- Friday
Pay rate will be discussed during the interview process and aligned with experience.
