Accounting Manager

JOB SUMMARYWe are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our rapidly growing accounting team in Boise, ID. As part of our Accounting Resource group, you will be a key member of a visible, accessible and dedicated service team in a rewarding and high-energy work environment. This role will oversee the monthly close process for our Home Health and Hospice segment, support external reporting requirements, and partner closely with accounting leaders to develop and execute the strategic vision of the accounting function.The ideal candidate is both a strong technical accountant and an innovative leader who seeks opportunities to modernize processes, enhance scalability, and build a high-performing team capable of supporting a growing publicly traded organizationDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESManage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process while serving as the primary accounting partner for assigned locations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policiesEnsure financial statements are prepared accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAPAssist with external audit activities, including annual audits and quarterly reviews, and serve as a key liaison for audit requests and documentationMaintain compliance with SOX requirements and internal control standardsLead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a high-performing and engaged teamEstablish clear performance expectations and promote accountability and continuous improvementFoster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and professional developmentPartner with the Controller and Assistant Controller to define and execute the strategic direction of the accounting departmentDevelop scalable processes, policies, and controls that support the company's growth objectivesEvaluate existing workflows and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparencyPrepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring account balances are accurate, adequately supported, and resolved in a timely mannerOversee the journal entry process, including the preparation of complex journal entries and the review and approval of entries prepared by others, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adequate support, and compliance with internal control requirementsAssist in the preparation and review of internal and external financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely deliveryBuild strong relationships with field leaders and serve as a trusted financial partner, providing insights and recommendations that support organizational goals and operational excellenceJOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in AccountingStrong knowledge of GAAP and proven ability to apply technical accounting principles4+ Years of Experience in a Corporate or Public Accounting settingAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsTeam player with the ability to work independently and manage a teamStrong understanding of financial statements and the ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial resultsIntermediate/Advanced in Microsoft ExcelProficient with other Microsoft Office Suite programsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships across all levels of the organizationPreferences:Healthcare industry experience, including familiarity with multi-location operations and healthcare financial reportingCPA licenseExperience leading process improvement and automation initiativesExperience partnering with operational and field leadershipLocation:Eagle, IDCompensation: Depending on Experience Why Join Us?
