Ultrasound Technologist - Inpatient

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 4 x 10's, Tuesday - Friday, 7 PM - 5:30 AM

Job Description: Under the general direction of a physician and department supervisor, the Ultrasound Technologist specializes in complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures. This role involves performing diagnostic procedures in cardiac, vascular, and general areas, ensuring adherence to established protocols and care standards to deliver improved patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures in cardiac, vascular, and general ultrasound.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, including Federal, State, Joint Commission, and relevant accrediting bodies.
• Execute physician's orders while following established protocols.
• Train and mentor new staff members and sonography students.
• Participate in the accreditation and re-accreditation process for respective modalities.
• Maintain technical skills and keep current on technological advances in ultrasound imaging.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum two years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Licensure: ARMDS certification, RDMS from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• CPR certification upon hire; AHA BLS within 60 days of hire.
