Project Manager 5 - Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) (W2 Contract) Location: Charlotte, NC (550 S. Tryon Street) Duration: 24-Month Contract Work Model: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote) Job Type: Contract About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager 5 to join a high-impact Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) team supporting the Structured Products organization. This role will lead strategic initiatives focused on expanding product capabilities, optimizing operational infrastructure, and driving large-scale transformation programs across commercial investment banking. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) , structured products, and capital markets operations, combined with a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise projects from inception through execution. This is an opportunity to work directly with senior business leaders, product teams, operations, technology stakeholders, and investment banking partners to enhance workflows, improve scalability, and support business growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives within Corporate & Investment Banking and Structured Products. Develop and manage project roadmaps, workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies. Partner with business, operations, technology, and capital markets teams to drive strategic product expansion initiatives. Build and enhance end-to-end infrastructure supporting structured finance and asset-backed lending products. Manage projects involving Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), asset-backed securities (ABS), receivables financing, lease-backed assets, and mortgage origination. Drive large-scale initiatives focused on consumer and commercial loan acquisition, onboarding, and operational optimization. Coordinate executive-level meetings, stakeholder communications, project reporting, and governance activities. Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful execution. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement operational efficiencies using Lean, Six Sigma, and automation methodologies. Leverage AI-enabled tools including Copilot, Rogo AI, and automation technologies to improve productivity and project execution. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among business leaders, technology teams, operations, risk, compliance, and external partners. Required Qualifications 10+ years of Project Management experience within Corporate & Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Financial Services. Strong experience managing enterprise-scale programs within Structured Products or Commercial Banking environments. Hands-on expertise in Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) and structured finance products. Deep understanding of asset-backed securities, receivables financing, mortgage origination, lending operations, or lease-backed products. Proven success delivering complex projects through the full project lifecycle. Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills. Experience creating project plans, governance frameworks, status reporting, and risk management strategies. Ability to work effectively across business, operations, and technology teams. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. PMP, PgMP, Agile, Scrum, or related Project Management certifications. Experience with AI-driven productivity platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Rogo AI, or similar tools. Knowledge of structured credit, securitization, commercial lending, capital markets, or fixed income products. Experience leading transformation, automation, or process re-engineering initiatives.
