Travel Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - $1,630 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Phoenix, Arizona. Position Overview This is an immediate travel opening for a Radiology Technologist in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience. Job Details Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required. Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging. Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position. Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions. Calibrate imaging equipment. Prepare results for Physician to review. Maintain accurate patient records. Understand and use the McKesson PACS system. Qualifications Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required. Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. ARRT (R), BLS, 2 Years* * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Compensation Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
