Role Description The Area Experience Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurnee, IL, responsible for driving an exceptional client and associate experience across multiple offices in the area. This role oversees daily operations, ensuring service standards, operational procedures, and performance goals are met while maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment. The Area Experience Leader supports recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and training of office teams, providing coaching and feedback to improve client service and sales outcomes. They analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and implement action plans to enhance client satisfaction, retention, and operational effectiveness. The role collaborates closely with local leadership to execute strategic initiatives, promote H&R Block’s products and services, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Strong Communication and interpersonal skills to engage clients and associates, provide clear guidance, and build collaborative relationships. Demonstrated Sales and client service abilities to drive revenue, promote services, and support a positive client experience. Effective Training and coaching skills to develop teams, deliver instruction on processes and tools, and support continuous learning. Solid Analytical Skills to interpret performance data, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that improve operations. Proficient Negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage challenging situations and support mutually beneficial outcomes. Experience in multi-unit or retail/service management, preferably in a client-focused environment. Ability to work on-site in Gurnee, IL, with flexibility during peak tax seasons, including evenings and weekends as needed. Familiarity with basic financial or tax concepts and comfort with office technologies and software systems.
