Licensed Practical Nurse

Licensed Practical Nurse responsibilities: Perform a wide variety of duties during shifts, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions; establish trust and build rapport with patients and families; work effectively with facility leadership to ensure successful patient care. Job Duties Resolve pending issues from the previous shift (missed or incomplete labs or treatments, incomplete admissions or discharges, missing data for continuity of care) Conduct compliance audits related to infection control (glucometer, refrigerator, sharps containers, laboratory cleanliness, pests, hand washing and flu campaign) Manage medication storage, returns, destruction, and resolve medication issues with pharmacy Order supplies, maintain inventory, and organize supply room Monitor and track lab orders, outside consults, and medical transfers Coordinate and plan admission workflow; print Integra and Care 360 requisitions; assure samples are properly labeled Manage level‑of‑care transfers in AVATAR Perform administrative functions (scan documents into AVATAR, assist with work schedules, assist BHTs with observation sheets) Conduct admission and discharge audits; check/audit nursing procedures per DON discretion to assure compliance Other Required Tasks Collaborate with the treatment team to incorporate medical issues into treatment planning Participate in regular department and staff meetings Interact with clients with compassion and respect Display good work habits: complete tasks timely, maintain punctuality, and be prepared for scheduled shifts Communicate effectively with other staff and work as a team member Show flexibility and adaptability; respond positively to changing situations Maintain objectivity and maturity under stress Accept and utilize supervision Address issues noted by supervisor Minimum Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Certification in Practical Nursing or equivalent as per state law Licensed to practice in the State of Florida Preferred Qualifications Higher education preferred Two years’ experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse Experience in a behavioral health setting preferred Benefits Competitive starting pay plus night shift differential Paid time off: up to 2 weeks/year (accrual begins Day 1) Retirement: 401(k) with match Insurance: health, vision, dental, life Matching HSA: up to $1,500/year company contribution Travel concierge, employee discounts, health advocate, EAP program Advanced Recovery Systems complies with state and federal nondiscrimination laws and policies that prohibit discrimination based on age, color, disability, national origin, race, religion, or sex.
