The Daily Nosh is a new breakfast and lunch restaurant in Downtown Roseville focused on quality, hospitality, and genuine guest connection. We're building a team that creates a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience from the moment guests walk through the door.
We're looking for a friendly and organized Host to be the first point of contact for our guests. This role sets the tone for the entire dining experience and plays a key part in managing the flow of the restaurant.
Enjoy a daytime schedule no late nights.
What You'll Do
- Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming first impression
- Manage waitlists and reservations with accuracy and efficiency
- Seat guests strategically to support smooth service flow
- Communicate effectively with servers and management regarding table status
- Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready host stand and entry area
- Assist with light support tasks as needed
Compensation & Compliance
- Hourly pay in accordance with California minimum wage laws
- Position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime
- Meal and rest breaks provided per California law
- Employment is at-will

What We're Looking For
- Previous host or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and people skills
- Friendly, professional, and outgoing personality
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask
- Ability to stay calm and positive in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move for up to 68+ hours per shift
- Ability to walk frequently and navigate a busy restaurant environment
- Occasional lifting up to 2025 lbs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
