Rapid Response Registered Nurse Department Only Facility Kootenai Health Department Nursing - Rapid Response Team Schedule/Shift/Hours Part Time - Nights - 12 Hour Shifts Position Summary Applies advanced nursing knowledge, specialized expertise and experience to guide and support nurses and other clinicians caring for acutely ill patients at the bedside with a focus on assigned disease states. Responsibilities Evaluates practice and helps to drive clinical changes for specific clinical scenarios, and ensures the use of best practices and evidence-based care to achieve the best possible patient outcomes Supports groups in designing and implementing innovative solutions that address system problems and patient care issues Assists teams in process improvement initiatives to improve clinical outcomes Educates and supports other clinical providers in the best practice management of assigned disease states A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho BSN required Minimum 1 year experience in Critical Care or Emergency required; 2 years’ preferred CEN or CCRN required within 6 months of hire ACLS Required BLS Required.
