On-Call Weekend LPN
Companion Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our team on an on-call basis for weekends. This role involves providing selected nursing care under the direction and general supervision of the Director of Nursing and/or On-Call RN. The ideal candidate will be available on Saturdays and Sundays and will be compensated with a daily rate plus an additional pay for each patient visit.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Assess and chart observations of the patient's condition at each visit
- Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs
- Administer physician-prescribed medication
- Dress or redress wounds and assess healing progress
- Educate patients and families on proper home health care procedures and strategies
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current LPN license in the state of Oklahoma
- Current CPR certification.
- 2+ years' experience in home health or palliative care preferred
- Customer service-oriented attitude
- Must have valid driver's license and willingness to travel to patient homes within the designated area.
