Laboratory Supervisor

Primary Duties: Expected to follow all safety rules and policies and work in a manner that protects themselves and other stakeholders from hazards and injuries. Acts as back-up to Lab Manager. Aids in the development of spectrometer programs. Ensures measurement studies are conducted in accordance with estabilished practices. Dispositions lab related non-conformance reports as needed. Maintain knowledge of ICP spectroscopy procedures and Wet Lab tasks Assist in supervising workflow; including paperwork, housekeeping and waste reduction Assist in evaluation of Quality through proper use of work instructions, processes and procedures. Development of relevant databases. Aid Lab Technicians with duties as needed. Any other duties as assigned. Education / Experience Requirement(s) : Associate degree in science related field, and/or 3 years’ laboratory experience; or a combination of education and experience. Pre Employment Screening Skills Requirement(s) : General understanding of PCs and related software experience. Sound communication, organizational and analytical skills with the ability to plan work. Proper use of testing equipment. Familiarity with ASTM methods. Must be able to communicate in English for all business / job related transactions.
