Step into an exciting opportunity for the 2025/2026 school year supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational community near La Mesa, CA. This contracted, full-time position places you in a welcoming school setting—perfect for professionals interested in pediatric populations and collaborative teamwork.
Candidates with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome to apply. Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English are highly sought after, as diverse language backgrounds add tremendous value to student engagement and success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active California SLP license
- ASHA Certification (CCC — preferred, but Clinical Fellows considered)
- Previous pediatric or school-based SLP experience is appreciated
- Comfort working with diverse student populations; bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and provide direct therapy to students from early childhood through high school
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support professionals to create tailored intervention plans
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in line with district and state guidelines
- Support students’ speech, language, and communication development, fostering inclusion and access to curriculum
