ER RN (Registered Nurse) in Goodland, KS

Capstone Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN (Registered Nurse) for an assignment in Goodland, KS, within the Healthcare & Medical Services industry. As an ER RN, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department, supporting a full range of acute and emergent presentations. Working within the Healthcare & Medical Services department of one of our partner facilities, you will play a key role in stabilizing patients, coordinating care, and ensuring safe, efficient throughput in the ER.
In this role, you will perform rapid triage and ongoing assessment of patients of varying ages and acuity, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies. You will initiate and manage IV access, administer medications and treatments, assist with procedures, and monitor cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic status using appropriate equipment and technology. You will collaborate closely with emergency physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to implement care plans, participate in codes and trauma activations as needed, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record, following hospital and regulatory standards. Adherence to infection control, patient safety, and quality-of-care protocols is essential, as is the consistent use of PPE and safe patient handling practices. Clear, calm communication with patients and families during high-stress situations is expected, along with the ability to provide concise updates and education regarding treatments, tests, and discharge instructions when appropriate.
This position requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, which may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on facility needs.
