Competitive pay based on experience 100% employee-paid health insurance Dental, vision, disability & retirement benefits Paid time off Continuing education support Sign-on bonus opportunities Collaborative interdisciplinary team Meaningful work serving rural Wyoming communities What You'll Do Working under the direction of an Occupational Therapist and Clinical Manager, you'll help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life by: Implementing individualized treatment plans Educating patients and caregivers Documenting progress and communicating with the care team Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals Helping patients improve functional independence in everyday activities Participating in swing bed activities programming Maintaining accurate documentation and regulatory compliance Promoting patient safety and exceptional patient experiences You'll work with patients across a variety of settings, including outpatient rehabilitation, hospital swing bed, and other programs depending on clinic needs. We're Looking For Someone Who Is Compassionate and patient-centered Collaborative and team-oriented Motivated to continue learning Adaptable in a rural healthcare environment Passionate about helping people achieve meaningful outcomes Qualifications Applies skills learned during academic training, educational programs, and practical experience to treat patient/family needs Demonstrates competency in implementation of treatment plans. Documents appropriately. Evaluates effectiveness of plan and modifies as indicated, following consulting the Occupational Therapist Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when interacting with families, physicians, patients and others involved in a patient's care to promote an environment of cooperation and respect. Provides appropriate information at meetings such as team and family conferences, home health conferences, clinic meetings and others as necessary Maintains current knowledge of therapy techniques appropriate to the patients at Gottsche Performance & Longevity Center through the attendance of in-service classes and the appropriate amount of continuing education as required by state licensure. Assists in appropriate treatments or portions thereof, assesses the accuracy, thoroughness and appropriateness of the care they provide and then provide feedback to the Clinical Manager Seeks necessary information and input from staff, physicians and other health care professionals to ensure ongoing appropriate patient care. Has knowledge in the use of therapy devices including exercise tables, fitness equipment, assistive devices, wheelchairs, pulleys, weights and other equipment common to the practice of occupational therapy Demonstrates an awareness of safety in all aspects of patient care. Performs other duties related to the position as needed. Job duties subject to change as the department evolves and changes.
