The Service Employee also performs light maintenance on buses, buildings, and grounds as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesOpen the gates to the lot and inspect bus parking areas to ensure vehicles can be dispatched on timeReposition buses that may obstruct traffic or interfere with the safe movement of vehiclesFuel gas- and diesel-powered fleet vehiclesCheck and refill oil, antifreeze, power-steering fluid, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and windshield-washer fluidVisually inspect belts and other basic vehicle components while buses are being fueledMaintain accurate fuel, mileage, meter, and inventory recordsComplete required documentation, including Bulk Fuel Receiving Reports, Fuel Variance Reports, Month-End Closing Reports, and Meter Calibration ReportsNotify the Location Manager or designee when a fuel delivery is neededTake and document accurate fuel-tank stick readings before and after deliveriesStock required supplies and equipmentPerform light interior and exterior maintenance on busesAssist with light maintenance of the building, grounds, and surrounding lotFollow all company safety procedures and environmental requirementsComplete additional assignments or management requests as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentBasic knowledge of vehicle or bus maintenance preferredWillingness and ability to learn maintenance and vehicle-servicing skillsAbility to maintain accurate records and complete required reportsDependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work safely around moving vehicles, fuel, fluids, and maintenance equipmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license may be required based on operational needsAbility to meet the physical requirements of the positionThis is a safety-sensitive position subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
