Business Development ManagerORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTUREBUSINESS: Leslie Controls, IncLOCATION: Tampa, FLDIRECT REPORTING: Senior Director of Business DevelopmentFUNCTIONAL REPORTING: SalesPosition SummaryThe Business Development Manager is responsible for new business development and account management of existing customers in a defined territory through selling the CIRCOR portfolio and meeting/exceeding annual booking targets. This role will be primarily responsible for developing new business opportunities, securing design wins, and supporting sales and business development strategies. Duties include understanding and communication of market trends, demand forecasting, management of business capture targeting, proposal generation, contract negotiation, and closure to contract award.Principal ActivitiesMaking field sales calls on existing and prospective customers in respective territory or areas of responsibilityAcquire and maintain knowledge of customer programs, requirements, organization, and communicate to appropriate CIRCOR Management and Sales DirectorAcquire and communicate competitive intelligence as it pertains to CIRCOR products, technology, and activityInform and train manufacturer representatives on CIRCOR Aerospace Inc., products as requiredMeet or exceed annual booking goals set for respective area of responsibilityIncrease OEM business by working with customers’ engineering and sourcing staff to have CIRCOR Aerospace Inc., custom products and capabilities baselined into product specifications wherever possibleDevelop and manage contacts and relationships at all customersCoordinate and/or manage and respond to technical and price quotations via Request for Information and Request for Proposals; follow up until closureDevelop and implement strategies that successfully target potential customers and capture additional market share from competitorsIdentify target accounts in which to promote new businessEstablish and maintain territorial sales forecasts and maintenance of customer profile reports Prepare and present detailed CIRCOR capability presentations for customersProvide customer contact reports to relevant CIRCOR staff for service and follow-upSupport various trade shows and exhibitionsCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSKnowledge Skills & AbilitiesProven track record in technical sales in aerospace marketStrong account management skills including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple business development effortsSolid analytical skills and solution-driven thinkingAbility to communicate effectively across mediums, audiences, and situationsKnowledge of and experience working with customer and industry-specific requirements/standards across the product life cycleApplied experience with hydraulic, electro-mechanical and/or pneumatic actuation, fluid controls, and associated systems, and other products central to the CIRCOR Aerospace Inc, businessExcellent capabilities expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power PointHigh energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activitiesDemonstrated ability to influence others and impact changeParticipative management style – advocates team conceptWell-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to get along well with people of diverse backgrounds, experience, and personalitiesAbility to establish credibility and be decisive – but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and prioritiesEducation & ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Business, Management, Sales and Marketing, Engineering (preferable) or other related areas.10 years of progressive sales, marketing, or business development experience in Aerospace, Defense and/or related market space.CIRCOR is an EEO Employer of Females /Minorities / Veterans / Individuals with DisabilitiesJob SummaryRequisition Number: MGRBU002692Job Category: SalesSchedule: Full-Time
