Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

Required Skills / Certs / Exp:

• Minimum Years of Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required in a level 3 or 4 ICN.
• Traveler Experience: Unit will accept 1st time travelers.
• Skills: Vents experience
• Certs: BLS, NRP

Job Details:

• Ratios: 1:2-4
• Unit will accept contracts from 13+ weeks up to February 27, 2027 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!
• Shift: 36 hours only. 12-hour nights; 18:45 - 07:15
• RTO: 7 days max for AYA auto offer
• Call Requirement: No call
• Float Requirement: Peds/PICU/nursery caring for infants up to and including 12 months
• Weekend Requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays in a 6-week period

Patient Diagnoses:

• Premature (as low as 22 weeks)
• All types of surgical infants, hypoxic injury

Special Procedures / Unit Details:

• Therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, UAC/UVC, PCL's, Broviac, Trachs, GTT, Ostomys
• Tecotherm, BCPAP, Ram NC, Alaris IV pumps, Med Fusion for feedings, Servo Vents, HFOV, Baby Leo, Giraffe

Unit Systems:

• Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, 4P scheduling

Unit Orientation:

• There are 24 hours of unit orientation

Scrubs:

• Navy blue or white
