The Warehouse Worker supports daily warehouse operations by accurately preparing customer orders, handling incoming and outgoing materials, and maintaining organized inventory. This role involves operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring all activities follow safety standards. The ideal candidate pays close attention to detail, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and provides reliable support to both customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Pull and prepare customer orders accurately and on time to support order fulfillment and shipping schedules.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including checking in materials, verifying quantities, and processing outbound shipments.
• Load and unload trucks safely while following established warehouse safety standards and procedures.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to perform inventory control, cycle counting, and order processing.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and help ensure products are stored, labeled, and organized correctly.
• Read and interpret packing slips, shipping documents, and work orders with a high level of accuracy.
• Handle materials, including industrial products, plastics, or building materials, with care and attention to safety.
• Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and free of hazards, supporting a safe and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to coordinate daily tasks and meet operational goals.
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks and support production and distribution schedules.
• Regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds as part of daily warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or shipping and receiving environment.
• Proven ability to operate forklifts or previous sit-down forklift experience; current forklift certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with material handling, including safe use of pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Demonstrated skills in shipping, receiving, order picking, and order fulfillment.
• Experience with inventory control processes, including cycle counting and stock organization.
• Ability to use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and processing orders.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately read and follow packing slips, shipping documents, and work orders.
• Capability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Reliable and team-oriented work style with strong communication skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to following warehouse safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift certification or formal training in sit-down forklift operation is a strong plus.
• Experience handling industrial materials, plastics, or building products is beneficial.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Work Environment

The role is based in a semi climate-controlled warehouse environment designed to support comfort and productivity. You will work around forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other standard warehouse equipment, with a focus on safety and cleanliness throughout the facility. The setting is fast-paced and hands-on, with regular lifting and movement of materials, and a culture that emphasizes teamwork, organization, and adherence to safety standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
