Histotechnologist I

Our Client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for a Histotechnologist I for their Tukwila, WA location.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results.
- May analyze samples of biological material for chemical content or reaction.
- Monitor clinical trials for research organizations or internal research.
- Cultivate, isolate, and assist in identifying microbial organisms, and perform various tests on these microorganisms.
- May conduct clinical trials of pharmaceuticals.
- Enter data from analysis of medical tests and clinical results into computer for storage.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers.
Requirements:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one time.
- Basic knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases.
- Basic knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (international quality standard for human clinical trials) and local regulations.
- Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.
- Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree in medical technology or related field required.
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field preferred.
- 0-2 years experience required.
- Additional Comments/Requirements:
- Contingent Histotechnologist. M-F, early morning hours preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in histology lab.
- Strong microtomy skills and IHC experience preferred.
- Candidate MUST have two years of experience to be considered for this req.

- Education Requirement:
- Associates or Bachelors
- Required Certifications:
- HT Cert. ASCP Cert
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or GED
