ICU Registered Nurse (RN)An exciting opportunity awaits for dedicated ICU Registered Nurses to join our team. This position involves primarily working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with occasional floating to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.Position DetailsUnit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)Shift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekYears of Experience Required: 2 years in relevant specialtyShift Notes: Night shifts and every other weekend requiredLocationSt. Joseph Medical Center - Tacoma, WASt. Clare Hospital - Lakewood, WASt. Elizabeth Hospital - Enumclaw, WAKey ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.Monitor and assess patient conditions in both PCU and ICU settings.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Float to other units as needed while ensuring continuity of care.QualificationsCertifications Required: ACLS (AHA), BLS CertificationExperience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU/PCU nursing required.Strong foundational nursing skills, with an emphasis on critical care.Unit InformationType: Medical ICU with both ICU and PCU beds (82 beds total: 48 ICU, 34 PCU)Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: ICU: 1:1 or 1:2PCU: 1:3Electronic Medical Records: EPICSupport Staff: Nurse aides available on each floorWeekend Requirement: Every other weekend is mandatoryFloating: Eligible to float between all ICU and PCU unitsAdditional NotesNo ventilator management in PCU.Common medications include cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin; no pressors in PCU.Orientation will be a maximum of one week with an educator, with a minimum of two shifts.If you are a skilled and motivated ICU Registered Nurse seeking a challenging and fulfilling opportunity, we encourage you to apply and become part of our healthcare team.
