Salary: $23.00 / hour

Introduction to the Company

Home & Health Care Management is the oldest home health care agency in Northern California. Our agency specializes in delivering comprehensive in-home care and case management for older adults, children, and those living with disabilities across many counties. We use a matrix of Medi-Cal, Medicare and targeted health programs to find solutions that work for our clients.

Who You Are:

You are a Personal Care Attendant who enjoys improving the quality of care of your clients. You enjoy providing one-on-one care to your client in their own homes, and find joy knowing that you work you do is meaningful.

You are an honest self-starter who can take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

To perform this job you must be able to perform the following duties successfully:

• 
  Personal Care (all activities of daily living bathing, dressing, toileting)
• 
  Help prepare meals, and measure and record what the person eats
• 
  Keep client's living area clean by performing household cleaning services
• 
  Assist in transferring and transporting the client to appointments or errands
• 
  Assist clients with walking
• 
  Assist with a home exercise program
• 
  Report clients' condition and any changes to their supervisor
• 
  Assist client with medication reminders
• 
  Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations

Essential Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience
• CPR Certified
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
• Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
• 
  Valid California Drivers License
• 
  Eligible to be insured under our liability policy with a clean DMV report
• 
  Your own vehicle and proof of current auto insurance
• Willingness to travel
  

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Certifications

This position does not require any certification. We do require the following:

• Ability to work with others and collaborate effectively.
• Above-average interpersonal, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills.

• 
  Professional behavior when on duty
• 
  Experience in working with elderly and or disabled persons
• 
  Previous experience in home health care is preferred

Service Region/ Location:

This is not a remote role and requires you to work with clients in their home in Chico Ca and surrounding counties.

PPE is provided to all employees

Schedule:

We offer flexibility. Part-time positions are available. Shifts could comprise of 1 hour up to an 8 hour day. Weekends and evenings are a plus.

Travel:

You will need your own car and be able to travel to clients homes.

Physical Requirements:

Conditional upon job offer is successfully passing a medical exam that tests amongst other things the ability to move, visual acuity, and hearing acuity. Physical requirement for this role specifically include

• 
  Sits, stands, bends, lifts, walks, and moves intermittently during working hours
• 
  Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
• 
  Able to drive to patients homes

Compensation:

Starting salary is $23.00 / hour

You will receive a monthly phone stipend.

We offer a 401(k) matching up to 4% after 1 year of employment and 1,000 hours worked.

For full-time employees:

On the first of the month following 60 days of employment, you will be eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, as well as Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

Leave accrues starting on your first day of employment, and you can take paid vacation, sick and holiday leave after 90 days.
