Safety Representative

Job Details: Job Location: San Jose, CA 95125, Salary Range: $20.50 - $27.00 Hourly, ------ Job Duties: Walk the store to ensure all Safety protocols are being followed by Team Members throughout the Store. Conduct Daily Safety Audits, as required by Risk Management Conduct Weekly, bi-weekly and Monthly inspections, as required by Risk Management. Complete Origami (Employee Injury) reports immediately after an injury is reported to Management and/or Safety Coordinator Team. Assist with Equipment distribution whenever necessary Inform all Team Members of the weekly Safety topics on a daily basis throughout Store walks Maintain inventory of Safety PPE and place orders as needed to ensure Team Members have equipment available. Assist with any Safety/Risk related matter as needed. Greet all customers in a friendly manner. Thank customers for their patronage. Maintain a clean workstation. Sign in and out for breaks. Assist and participate with Company marketing promotional events and programs as needed Essential Job Duties: Lift boxes and product ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs Push/pull between 30 lbs up to 50 lbs (items on to shopping cart) Bend/Stoop pick up and or place product below waist level (when placing items in shopping cart) Constant sweeping/pushing broom to pick up debris to keep work area clean Physical Requirements: Lift boxes and product ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs Place boxes/product onto dolly or cart Push/pull between 30 lbs up to 200 lbs (items on cart/dolly) Bend/Stoop pick up and or place product below waist level (including shelves and racks) Non-essential Job Duties: Climb ladders to retrieve product on top shelf. General Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for administration of stores safety supplies program o Ordering supplies as necessary o Fulfillment of safety supplies orders for stores as needed o Maintaining running inventory of safety supplies o Producing invoices for allocation of expense to respective stores o Keeping track (spreadsheet) of safety supplies expenditure Communicate with designated parties on claim related matters as assigned and directed by Management Support administration of Sweep Sheet Program Other responsibilities as assigned by management (WC & GL) Knowledge and Skills Able to multi-task a must. Proactive, helpful, professional, can-do attitude Flexibility to adjust to very dynamic work environment Good reading, writing and listening skills Outstanding follow-up skills – able to take on a project from beginning to end. Neat, organized, able to work independently and interdependently, welcoming to internal customers (stores) Computer literate including spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, web Able to adjust work schedule as operational needed with Risk Management.
