Description – What You'll Do

• Carry out standard and advanced laboratory tests—covering chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more—adhering to established protocols.
• Examine results for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and conduct preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist with specimen collection and prepare test samples when necessary.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new staff or trainees, and contribute to maintaining laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a tidy and safe working environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of hire.
• Maintain current certification throughout your employment.
