Heat Treat Operator
Berlin & Manchester, CT
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Heat Treat Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is ideal for candidates with experience operating industrial equipment, monitoring production processes, and maintaining quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedules Available:
- Friday - Sunday | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Monday - Friday | 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust heat treating furnaces and related production equipment
- Load and unload materials while following work instructions and processing specifications
- Monitor temperature settings, cycle times, quenching, and cooling processes to ensure product quality
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with quality standards
- Complete production documentation and maintain accurate processing records
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report maintenance concerns promptly
- Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, and standard operating practices
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Previous experience in heat treating, metal processing, manufacturing, machine operation, or industrial production preferred
- Experience working with industrial ovens, furnaces, or temperature-controlled processes is highly desirable
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and production documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset
Preferred Backgrounds
Candidates with experience as Machine Operators, Heat Treat Operators, Furnace Operators, Manufacturing Technicians, Metal Processing Operators, or Quality Inspectors are encouraged to apply.
