Contract | Full-Time | Onsite Monday through Friday 9:30am to 6:00pm

A-Line Staffing Solutions is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) to support one of the nation's leading retail pharmacy chains with its nationwide immunization program. This is a full-time contract opportunity focused on administering vaccines in a retail pharmacy setting while providing exceptional patient care and education.

This is an onsite position at assigned retail pharmacy locations. Some assignments may require travel to nearby stores based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and safely administer immunizations in accordance with state regulations and established clinical guidelines.
• Administer a variety of vaccines, including Influenza, COVID-19, Rabies, Typhoid, and other immunizations as applicable by state.
• Perform patient screening and complete all required clinical documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Educate patients on available vaccination services and answer questions regarding immunizations.
• During downtime between scheduled vaccine appointments, proactively engage customers throughout the store to promote vaccination services and identify eligible patients.
• Accurately complete Vaccine Administration Records (VAR) and document patient care in a timely manner.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after vaccine administration while following patient care standards.
• Communicate changes in patient status to supervisors and appropriate healthcare team members.
• Coordinate with pharmacy staff and store leadership to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Utilize available technology and computer systems to document care and communicate effectively.
• Participate in assigned on-call responsibilities when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and immunization best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, agency staff, pharmacy personnel, patients, and caregivers to provide exceptional patient care.
• Communicate patient progress and care needs when transferring care to another healthcare professional.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the practicing state
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Previous immunization/vaccination experience required
• Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills
• Comfortable working independently in a retail pharmacy environment
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
