Registered Nurse - Infection Control

Registered Nurse (RN) Infection ControlInfection Control RNs play a vital role in protecting patients and staff at the facility. As an Infection Control RN, you will coordinate infection prevention programs, implement policies, and monitor compliance with state and federal standards. You will educate staff, conduct audits, and participate in root cause analyses to reduce infection risks. You must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a current Arizona RN license. At least 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting is required, along with CPR certification. Experience in infection prevention is preferred, and national certification in infection control (CIC) is recommended or must be obtained within 2 years. Recommended skills include proficiency in infection prevention principles, knowledge of epidemiology and microbiology, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to educate and collaborate with healthcare teams.
