About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required licensure Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Charged experience preferred - Patient ratio experience preferred - Charting system experience Description: Minimum experience required is 2 years. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Diagnosis includes, but is not limited to, Cath Lab procedures. These include left/right heart diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, PCI balloon angioplasty procedures, PCI procedures utilizing drug eluting stents, and PCI procedures utilizing non-drug eluting stents. Additional procedures include pericardiocentesis, aortograms, peripheral angiograms, peripheral balloon angioplasty, peripheral stent placement, Cardiomems placement, temporary pacemakers, IABP/Impella placement, and management of chest pain, CAD, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, and tamponade. Weekend coverage is only required during call shifts. On-call duties are required, averaging 10-14 days per month, including weekends. Floating may occur within the facility and scope of practice as needed. Once the candidate is confirmed, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile and determine if the unit, schedule, and expertise fit. Compliance is required to start on time; non-compliance may delay the start date. Travelers may be required to work major holidays during their assignment period. If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall, the traveler is expected to work two. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. Compliance documents must be submitted within the cited deadlines. Modules are required and are completed during orientation and may vary by specialty.
