We're dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences for our fans throughout the city of Joliet and the greater Chicagoland area. The right individual will play a key role in upholding and elevating that standard across all departments.**Position Overview:** The Joliet Slammers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated students to be a part of the 2025 season. As an intern, you will obtain first-hand experience in the entire operation of a successful professional baseball franchise. A promotion intern would primarily be focused on ensuring the Slammers fans have a wonderful experience by providing exciting & engaging promotions throughout the season via on-field games, theme nights, customer service, community outreach, and other opportunities across the organization.**Every day is different, but a typical day might include:*** Represent the Joliet Slammers organization, partners, and sponsors with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm at all times* Display outstanding teamwork, communication skills, and an energetic personality* Planning and executing all aspects of promotions and associated tasks* Theme nights, on-field entertainment, production, and more* Assisting with the creation of in-game entertainment, especially pertaining to theme nights* Willing to put yourself out there* Dancing, cheering, engaging with the crowd* Assisting with production setup for each game* Assisting with PA scripts, video board, music, etc* Assisting with stocking, cleaning, inventory, etc* Attending various community events/parades* Help with the day-to-day function of the organization. You may be asked to do several tasks; it's part of the all-inclusive experience!**The ideal candidate:*** Are currently attending college* Are able to work all 51 home games and additional off-site events* Strong attention to detail & organizational skills* Have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-task work environment* Have superior oral communication. Writing and editing skills* Are highly motivated with a strong work ethic* Strong desire to work in a team environment**This is an unpaid internship for college credit.
