Signal Integrity Engineer

This role supports the design, simulation, and validation of signal integrity for high-speed products, ensuring robust electrical performance through modeling, testing, and data-driven analysis. The engineer acts as a subject matter expert throughout the product lifecycle, guiding design decisions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance in high-speed communication and connectivity applications.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for signal integrity design, simulation, and validation activities across the full product development cycle.
• Establish signal integrity performance and functional requirements for new high-speed products and platforms.
• Perform signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards on each product, selecting appropriate simulation methodologies, setups, and criteria for each interface.
• Conduct detailed PCB schematic and layout reviews to ensure compliance with signal integrity requirements and best practices.
• Create clear, actionable recommendations based on design reviews and simulation results to improve product performance and reliability.
• Focus on the electrical design, simulation, and verification/validation testing of high-speed products in connector, cable assembly, and radio system applications targeting datacenter and wireless infrastructure.
• Independently execute projects in signal integrity for product and system design, including modeling, simulation, testing, and circuit board layout.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and operations teams to deliver leading-edge product designs.
• Lead signal integrity performance efforts from initial analysis through prototype fabrication, evaluation, and production verification testing.
• Use advanced simulation tools to address challenging design problems and guide complex designs toward successful implementation.
• Interpret simulation and laboratory data to identify issues, diagnose root causes, and propose effective solutions.
• Communicate technical findings, design trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Work effectively in a global environment, coordinating with colleagues and partners across different time zones.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in electrical design, RF design, or PCB design.
• Proficiency with signal integrity analysis tools such as Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, CST, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior.
• Demonstrated experience in signal integrity design, simulation, and validation for high-speed products.
• Hands-on experience with modeling, simulation, testing, and circuit board layout for high-speed communication systems.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret simulation and lab data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
• Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written, to support global communication with internal teams and external customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a global environment, including collaborating across geographies and accommodating varying time zones.
• Capability to work independently, manage tasks with minimal supervision, and take ownership of project deliverables.
• High level of motivation and the ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working on high-speed products in connector, cable assembly, and radio system applications.
• Experience in product development engineering or R&D environments focused on high-speed communications and connectivity.
• Exposure to datacenter and wireless infrastructure systems and standards.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams that include mechanical, manufacturing, and operations disciplines.
• Proven ability to act as a subject matter expert for signal integrity performance on complex products and platforms.
• Strong communication skills to present technical concepts and recommendations to diverse audiences.

Work Environment:

The role focuses on high-speed communication and connectivity products used in datacenters and wireless infrastructure, with an emphasis on connectors, cable assemblies, and radio systems. You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment alongside mechanical, manufacturing, and operations teams, using advanced signal integrity analysis tools such as Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, CST, or similar platforms. The position involves a mix of simulation work, design reviews, and hands-on validation and verification testing in laboratory settings. As part of a global organization, you will interact regularly with colleagues and customers across different regions and time zones, requiring flexibility in scheduling and strong remote collaboration skills. The work environment supports independent work, continuous learning, and tackling complex design challenges to deliver leading-edge products.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Middletown, PA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $84.00 - $84.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
