Crisis Intervention Specialist (Full-time, Night shift)

What You'll Be Doing Plans and provides mental health screening assessments, crisis supportive interventions, dispositions and referrals, in consultation with the on‑call psychiatrist and or with the coordinator for patients in crisis. Conduct crisis counseling for patients in crisis situations / bereavement, conduct comprehensive clinical assessment, and assess for suicide and homicide risk in the Emergency Department. What We're Looking For Education: Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred. Experience: 2–4 years related experience, knowledge of DSM‑5 diagnosis and psychotropic medications. Skills: Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing; knowledge of Crisis Intervention & Prevention; ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects and follow through to ensure tasks are complete.
