Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a experienced MedSurg RN for a 13-week assignment with potential extension. This role involves providing high-quality care in a dynamic hospital environment, working days on a 4x12-hour shift schedule, with required float coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to patients, adhering to clinical standards and protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously, documenting changes and reporting to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain thorough documentation in the EMR system, Soarian, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, active RN license; license verification required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent MedSurg RN experience, with at least 1 year in a similar setting.
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred, with demonstrated adaptability.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Proficient in using Soarian EMR system.
• Ability to work float shifts with minimal to no RTO, and comply with travel and housing regulations.
