Summary The Fabricator (Welder) works with a variety of welding equipment to fabricate or repair products in the performance of the duties of a Welder as follows. Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Welds and assembles metal components together with welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. Uses a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, plant, and shipboard equipment. Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding. Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts. Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. Measures and cuts materials to specifications. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. More information can be found at Minimum Requirements Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs) 4 years of welding related experience doing Flux Core, TIG, and Stick Welding. Preferred education and experience 6 years of welding related experience doing Flux Core, TIG, and Stick Welding. 2 years welding in food manufacturing environment Additional eligibility requirements (language skills, training, certifications, DL, licensing) Knowledge of 3G/4G/6G welding passes. Knowledge of food grade welding procedures and compliance measures Certified High-Pressure pipe welder Successful Completion of Trident Welding Test Work environment (includes travel/on-call) While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Physical demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
