Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Department

Location

Conroe, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Mid Shift (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM) | Every other weekend expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio across a 30-bed unit with additional hall bed capacity
• Perform and assist with procedures including IV placement, blood draws, cardiac monitoring, moderate sedation, NIH stroke scale assessments, and TNK administration
• Operate and monitor equipment such as Baxter IV pumps, GE monitors, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont Rapid Infusers, and portable EKG machines
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, paramedics, and LVNs to deliver safe, high-quality emergency care
• Demonstrate compassion and empathy in all patient and family interactions

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Experience with moderate sedation and rapid infusion protocols
• Strong team-player mentality with the ability to thrive in a high-volume emergency setting
