Intermediate Carpenter Specialist

The pay range for this position is $23 to $27 per hour. Position Overview This role plays a vital part in supporting reconstruction efforts for our clients. We are looking for qualified candidates with extensive carpentry experience who can work independently. The ideal candidate will assist with scope development alongside BELFOR Estimators and manage projects effectively. As an Intermediate Carpenter, you will also have opportunities to mentor and develop less experienced carpenters. The developmental goals for this role include: 1) expanding your skills from residential to commercial and multi-family projects; 2) gaining competence in leading and executing emergency services; and 3) enhancing your knowledge of materials across various carpentry disciplines, including framing, cabinetry, trim, and more. This position is part of the Progressive Carpenter track at level 3. Responsibilities Identify potential project issues and promptly seek assistance when needed. Address most project inquiries and direct complex questions to appropriate personnel. Safely move and protect contents to prevent damage. Implement proper containment for dust and contaminants in the work area. Utilize appropriate tools and BELFOR methods for tasks such as flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling materials. Complete shrink wrap training and manage four shrink wrap projects. Learn to identify various types of insulation, their thicknesses, and respective R-values. Apply your skills and knowledge in Trim, Doors, Cabinetry, Insulation, Rough Framing, Acoustical Ceilings, Roofing materials, and Exterior Siding in daily tasks. Perform daily safety inspections and maintain your vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition. Pay close attention to detail in all tasks. Comply with BELFOR Standards regarding the protection of client property. Exhibit a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices. Work effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines. Be available to work nights and weekends as needed and travel occasionally. Report time worked and materials used accurately and in a timely manner. Attend BELFOR-sponsored operations and safety training courses as required. Requirements Supervise unskilled labor, Basic Level BELFOR employees, and occasionally sub-contractors in residential settings. Respond to straightforward project inquiries and defer complex questions to more qualified personnel. Maintain equipment and tools required for daily tasks. Provide emergency services as needed, including board-ups and securing damaged buildings. Perform additional tasks as needed.
