The Ultrasonographer General is located in Palo Alto, California. The role includes working under supervision to operate ultrasound equipment and assist in gathering medical data to support diagnosis within a dedicated eye clinic or department.

Job Details

• Location: Palo Alto, California
• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions; effective communication skills; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups; ability to follow written and oral instructions; ability to interpret physician instructions and patient medical records; knowledge of ophthalmic sonography, anatomy, physiology, and pathology; proficiency with ultrasound physics, safety procedures, PACS systems, and ultrasound equipment; valid license or certification, with preferred certification as a Certified Diagnostic Ophthalmic Sonographer (CDOS) through IJCAHPO; candidates with ophthalmic experience are required; the following certifications are relevant: ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (preferred, not required).
• Additional Information: Able to perform general abdominal, small parts, OB-GYN, and limited vascular sonography; perform Doppler scans; review patient history; maintain equipment; ensure infection control; and operate ancillary imaging systems such as Kinetdx and PACS. Experience specifically in ophthalmic sonography is mandatory, and candidates without ophthalmic experience cannot be considered.
