Shipping and Receiving Material Handler 1st
Position: Production Material Handler Starting Wage: $18/hr Shift Times: 8 AM- 4:30 PM (Straight-8 schedule with two paid 10min breaks and paid 20min lunch) Location: Elkhart
Primary Function: Load raw-materials/work-in-process/pallets and unload finished product from all production equipment (3 work-centers); Maintain organized skid/lumber storage in outdoor asphalt lot
Key Skills & Attributes: Extensive fork-truck experience (including loads up to 12,000# - metal or similar coil/sheet handling preferred but not required); Ability to multitask and monitor several pieces of equipment for material handling needs; Flexibility in daily routine at work; Ability and willingness to work overtime (sometimes on Saturday)
Job Requirements: Forklift Experience; Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation; Ability to work in standing/walking position in excess of eight hours per day; Ability to read a tape measure and basic math skills; Basic computer skills; Demonstrate good hand/eye coordination; Perform repetitive motions more than eight hours per day; Good written and verbal communication; Ability to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature and other elements in the facility
