Associate Director, Business Insights and Analytics

Job Description The Business Insights and Analytics (BIA) team is seeking an Associate Director to lead its business performance sub‑team. This "Quarterback" role will partner with cross‑functional teams across Digital Human Health (DHH) to deliver business insights that drive marketing strategy, execution, and enhance customer experience and engagement. The role is 80% focused on leading analytics and 20% presenting and working directly with key marketing stakeholders. Responsibilities Lead a team of business analysts, providing guidance on data analytics, data visualization, and storytelling. Engage with BU leaders across the U.S. commercial and DHH organization to prioritize and enhance customer engagement solutions. Serve as subject‑matter expert in customer segmentation, targeting, predictive models, and prescriptive analytics to inform commercial engagement decisions. Drive the implementation of new analytics methodologies to optimize sales force promotion resource management for the brand and portfolio. Translate complex business needs into analytical plans, delivering actionable insights and communicating advanced analytics to inform business decisions. Collaborate with DHH colleagues (data visualization, data solutions) and marketing stakeholders to deliver best‑in‑class data‑driven insights. Manage analytics and digital solutions projects, delivering actionable and meaningful insights to marketing stakeholders in a timely manner. Stay current with industry trends and analytical methodologies to enhance organizational capabilities. Contribute to innovative experimentation, focusing on idea generation, incubation, and tangible, measurable criteria for incremental improvements. Qualifications Understanding of pharmaceutical commercial analytics and business acumen. Deep comprehension of unique opportunities and challenges in using analytics to solve business problems. Application of advanced marketing analytics methods to inform customer engagement and sales force effectiveness. Strong communication and storytelling skills, deriving actionable insights from data. Decision‑making and critical thinking ability, evaluating alternatives and making timely decisions. Emotional intelligence and ability to build trust and relationships with stakeholders. Experience with complex data management, especially patient claims data. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Decision Science, Marketing, Engineering, Public Health, etc.). 5+ years of experience delivering complex analytical projects in the pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare industry. Hands‑on experience working with healthcare business performance data. Preferred: MBA, MS, or Ph.D.; prior experience managing and mentoring direct reports. Proficiency in statistical and mathematical modeling, programming, and developing analytical products. Demonstrated ability to develop advanced analytics that support business decision making. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $156,900.00 – $247,000.00 (based on experience, education, and location). The successful candidate will also be eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
