Reconditioning Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Reconditioning Technician to join our dynamic team and help us uphold our commitment to excellence. Position Overview The Reconditioning Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on pre‑owned vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring that every vehicle meets our rigorous standards before it reaches our customers. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of pre‑owned vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues Perform diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to determine the cause of problems Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical system work Document all work performed and communicate findings and recommendations to the Service Advisor and/or customer Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines Stay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training or certification is preferred Seasoned Technician with at least 3 years experience with electric and diagnostics Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on pre‑owned vehicles Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach ASE certification(s) or other relevant automotive certifications are a plus Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record What We Offer Competitive salary and performance‑based incentives Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday pay Opportunities for professional growth and advancement A supportive and collaborative work environment Hunter Auto Group is an equal opportunity employer.
