Description:
MUST HAVE 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN HOSPITAL SETTING
MUST HAVE VA LICENSE/COMPACT
Unit specifics:
- 12 bed freestanding emergency room with a 7 vertical fast track area
- Patient ratios: 4-8 patients for nursing
- Average of 80 patients per day, with volume exceeding 100 during peak winter surge periods
- Staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability
Equipment:
- GE Optima CT scanner
- GE portable x-ray
Documentation system:
- Meditech
- Sectra
Scheduling:
- Varies, 36 hours per week
- Weekends and holiday rotation required
- No on-call duties
Patient experience:
- Our patients are our priority. We care like family!
Certifications:
- Acute Stroke Ready FSED with Comprehensive Stroke capabilities
- Trauma Level 1 and Burn Center available in main facilities
Advanced skills needed:
- Experience with moderate pediatric volume
Procedures performed:
- Normal emergency room procedures
- No surgical procedures or biopsies conducted on unit
Dress Code:
- Required uniform: Grey scrubs
Unit guidelines:
- Please attach unit-specific policies and guidelines.
