Registered Nurse- Renal Metabolic / Palliative Care - SWO Days

Overview Part and Full‑time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign‑on bonus. This position is also referral eligible. We are seeking an individual with a minimum of one year of RN experience for this role. Indiana University Health is looking for passionate, experienced nurses to join our team and collaborate with top medical professionals. Methodist’s Adult Med/Surg unit (B5/C5) Unit with 26 beds providing 24‑hour care to acutely ill patients. Care for patients with renal disease, diabetes management, wound management, pain management, and vascular access issues, ranging from young adults to geriatric patients. Unit is designated for continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) for Methodist Hospital. Additionally includes a 5‑bed End of Life care unit (B5) for palliative and hospice care. Shift Part Time - Weekends Only / Days. This position currently qualifies for a new hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials. Details will be provided during the interview process. Nursing Skills Gained Patient assessment Critical thinking Prioritization of care Building strength in foundational nursing skills Palliative and end of life care Qualifications Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse. RN must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. These exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer. Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
