Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, ensuring the delivery of emergency services and collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and triage patients in the emergency room.Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.Perform necessary lab draws and documentation as required.Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health issues.Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain a safe environment.Complete mandatory training and orientation processes.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS.Ability to effectively manage patients with varying levels of acuity.Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Work ScheduleThis position requires night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotations. The typical shift length is 12 hours. The schedule is managed six weeks in advance to ensure adequate staffing.Additional InformationCandidates with triage experience may have the opportunity to practice in the triage role upon successful completion of a triage assessment. This role involves floating between various healthcare facilities within the designated region as needed, ensuring coverage across all emergency department locations.The emergency department operates with a staff that includes both charge nurses and house supervisors, and a team of ED techs and EMTs to support patient care needs. The average patient volume is between 125 to 150 patients per day, with designated areas for trauma and seclusion.Candidates should be prepared to offer compassionate care amid a dynamic healthcare setting, contributing to the overall mission of providing outstanding emergency services to the community.
