You'll also resolve scheduling, staffing and quality issues to deliver results on time and within budget. You'll also:Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, collection systems, and related infrastructure.Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports for municipal and industrial wastewater projects.Perform hydraulic modeling, process design, and system optimization.Apply expertise in anaerobic digestion of biosolids, including system design, evaluation, and optimization for treatment efficiency and energy recovery.Support and guide projects involving biosolids management strategies, including anaerobic digestion processes, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices.Business Development with clients in existing and new marketsBuilds and maintains client relationshipsEffectively communicates ideas and technical concepts to co-workers and with clients on sensitive and complex mattersLeads projects utilizing staff and sub-consultant resources to successful completion of projects on schedule and on budgetPrepares client contract, statement of qualifications, priced proposals and contractsQuality control for assigned projects and clientsWorks on complex projectsPrepares documents and reportsPerforms work that involves non-conventional planningIdeally, you'll have a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar degree with appropriate experience. You should have 8 years of experience in engineering with 2+ years of Project Management experience. You should be a licensed Professional Engineer. Ideally, you'll also:Navigate Illinois Environmental Protection Agency regulations with ease.Have proven client relationship management skills.Be a smart worker and a team player.Be well-acquainted with wastewater processes, methods, and state and federal requirements, including biosolids treatment and anaerobic digestion systems.Use engineering software.Speak and write well.Have strong analytical and organizational skills.You'll have plenty of opportunities to grow professionally at our progressive firm, which started in 1973.
