Military health‑care education or training may be accepted if licensed and with at least one year of successful practice as an LPN/LVN. Licensure: Active, full, current, and unrestricted licensure as a Graduate Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory, Commonwealth (including Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia. Grade determination: GS‑03: None beyond basic requirements. LPNs perform all duties within scope of license (e.g., medication administration). Regular supervision by RN/MD. GS‑04: Six months qualifying experience as an LPN/LVN; or graduation from an approved school plus one year of nursing care experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or similar facility; or graduation from an approved school of at least 24 months. GS‑05: Completion of at least one year of qualifying experience at the GS‑4 level or equivalent; must demonstrate comprehensive practical nursing care, collaboration with RN/MD, documentation of medication administration, emergency response, equipment handling, and patient‑family education. GS‑06: Completion of at least one year of qualifying experience at the GS‑5 level or equivalent; must demonstrate technical proficiency, judgment in procedure sequencing, accurate documentation, emergency intervention, communication with patients and families, and support of complex diagnostic test procedures. Duties Perform assigned duties that promote quality health care, outstanding customer service, and a patient‑centered environment. Act as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the outpatient clinic setting. Provide a full range of nursing services to patients with mental, physical, or behavioral problems. Record care, pertinent interactions, and communications in the patient’s computerized medical record. Collect basic patient data (vital signs, weight, medication review) and participate in planning and executing interventions per treatment plans. Assist patients with mobility using safe patient‑handling equipment. Identify and report potential safety hazards and life‑threatening emergencies and respond appropriately. Support a learning environment by orienting new employees and providing constructive feedback. Maintain a primary commitment to patient care; perform other duties as assigned. Benefits & Compensation Work schedule: Monday‑Friday, 07:30–16:00 (normal hours). No telework; position is not virtual.
