Sell software that helps local organization run better

Our client is an established, fast-growing software company. Their platform helps hundreds of municipalities across the country connect millions of citizens with their local governments, through tools for service requests, mobile notifications, and online permitting. The mission is simple: make government easier for residents, elected officials, and the staff who run it.

They're looking for a consultative, full-cycle Account Executive to help grow their footprint with municipalities nationwide.

Your Mission

You'll own the full sales cycle for a territory of municipal prospects, from first conversation to signed contract. A big part of the role is the demo. You'll run engaging, interactive walkthroughs of the full product suite, tailored to whoever is in the room and whatever pain point they're facing. You'll partner closely with marketing and SDR teams on lead hand-offs, lead discovery that uncovers the real operational problem behind a request, and guide multi-stakeholder buying committees to a decision.

What You'll Do

• Run interactive product demos for audiences ranging from department staff to elected officials, and become a true subject matter expert on the platform
• Own the full sales cycle for an assigned territory, from first qualified conversation through signed contract
• Lead discovery that reframes the conversation around a connected platform, not a point tool
• Navigate multi-stakeholder, RFP-driven municipal buying processes, responding accurately and on deadline
• Coordinate hand-offs with SDRs at the start and Customer Success at close so every opportunity starts and lands well
• Keep Salesforce activity, notes, and forecasts accurate and current
• Represent the company at municipal conferences and trade shows (about 5 per year)

What You Bring

• 5-7+ years managing a full sales cycle, with a track record of consistently hitting quota
• Confidence running live software demos over Zoom and adapting your pitch across modules and stakeholders
• Proficiency in Salesforce and a disciplined approach to pipeline management
• Strong discovery and consultative selling skills. You ask before you pitch.
• Experience navigating multi-stakeholder, RFP-driven sales cycles. xhyhwjd Government, municipal, or public-sector experience is a strong plus.
• Background in GovTech, public-sector or B2B SaaS, or enterprise sales is a plus but not required
