Job Title: RN - Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support, Chemotherapy Certification preferred Must-Have: Candidates must have Med/Surg experience Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a telemetry unit. The nurse will provide care to medical surgical and surgical oncology patients. The unit is capable of maintaining twenty-four-hour cardiac telemetry monitoring. The position requires candidates to have basic life support certification. Candidates must have experience in medical/surgical nursing. Chemotherapy certification is preferred, as administration may be required. The typical patient ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patients. An outgoing and team-oriented personality is ideal for fitting into the unit's culture. Scrub color is navy. The unit has won awards for excellence in patient care. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical skills and adaptability.
