ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will possess critical care experience and will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the ICU setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care for individuals in critical condition, including monitoring and titrating intravenous drips such as vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and analgesics.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and hospitalist on patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators to support patient respiratory needs.
• Monitor patient vital signs and read telemetry strips to assess patient condition.
• Participate in departmental orientation and training sessions as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum of two years of ICU nursing experience is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in managing critically ill patients and administering medications.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.

Shift and Scheduling:

The position offers self-scheduling and block scheduling options. Full-time and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule, aligning with department staffing needs. Holiday requirements are also applicable.

Other Details:

• Navy blue uniform required.
• No nurse aids are present on the unit; RNs are expected to take full responsibility for patient care without aides.
• Floating to other units may be required based on departmental needs.
