Mancan Staffing Parma is looking for a Shipping Clerk for a Strongsville Plastics Manufacturing company Starting pay is $18.50/hr - Split shift - 10:00 am - 6:30 pm - training on 1st 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Job Summary: To properly receive, document, transport and warehouse inbound material.

Job Duties:

Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse

Maintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents, while maintaining quality standards

Maintains company's quality standards and follows computer procedures to handle damaged material and quarantine material

Communicate with freight lines to schedule material deliveries

Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand

Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.

Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet

Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers

Unload delivery trucks using lift trucks or hand trucks

Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together

Removes samples of materials and labels with identifying information

Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products

Must be willing to work in other departments and/or areas and complete miscellaneous duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

High School diploma and/or equivalent and one year of related experience

Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task

Must have tow motor experience and be able to successfully complete tow motor certification training

Exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills

Must possess good problem solving skills

Ability to interact in a professional manner with coworkers, other departments, and vendors.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Basic computer skills

Willingness to work as team member or independently

Must be able to read a tape measure

Must be able to lift up to 50#s

Must be able to read a micrometer

Must be able to stand for 8 hours with some bending and lifting involved

No Felonies, Must have own transportation, Must pass a ruler test.
