Join a rehabilitation team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment working Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with flexible start times coordinated with the Director of Rehabilitation. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide skilled rehabilitation services to patients with physical impairments and mobility limitations. This role focuses on helping patients improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence through evidence-based treatment interventions.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of PTA experience required
• LTC or Rehabilitation experience required
• Active Oklahoma PTA License required
• New graduates accepted with Level II clinical experience (Level I observation experience only not accepted)
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic interventions required
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist required
• Resume required at submission
• Skills checklist completed within the last year required
• 0-1 reference required at submission
• Active license required at time of submission
• Must be submitted at the posted bill rate
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Procedures: Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, providing therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, ambulation assistance, range of motion exercises, functional mobility interventions, and use of assistive devices. The PTA will assess and document patient progress, communicate treatment effectiveness to the supervising Physical Therapist, assist with discharge planning, educate patients and caregivers, participate in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings, maintain accurate clinical documentation, support DME recommendations, assist with student supervision when appropriate, and ensure compliance with APTA standards, state practice acts, facility policies, and regulatory requirements while promoting patient safety and functional recovery.
