Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Evening Shift

Schedule

This position offers full-time evening shifts (7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week) with every other weekend and holiday work required.

Job Description

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting them with daily living needs and ensuring a safe environment. This position requires a compassionate individual with experience in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living needs, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care.
• Maintain resident safety and a clean environment by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, and preventing falls.
• Support residents during meal times by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, and accommodating food preferences.
• Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs, such as range of motion exercises, walking, and transfers.
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Measure and document weight, intake, and output.
• Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of residents.
• Foster social and emotional needs through interaction and companionship.
• Uphold resident confidentiality and rights at all times.
• Promptly report any changes or concerns regarding resident conditions to the nursing staff.
• Complete all required documentation per protocol in a timely manner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess a New York State Nursing Assistant Certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting.
• BLS certification must be through AHA or RQI.
