Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures, including general and vascular studies
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to safety protocols
- Monitor and maintain patient safety throughout imaging procedures
- Handle high patient volumes efficiently (~50 patients per shift)
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain imaging processes
- Accurately document imaging procedures in EMR systems (Epic)
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams for optimal patient care
- Maintain and operate CT equipment effectively
- Follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience (REQUIRED)
- Active Illinois state license (IEMA)
- ARRT (CT) certification (REQUIRED) or ACR equivalent
- BLS certification (REQUIRED)
- Strong experience in general and vascular CT imaging
- Hands-on experience with Epic EMR (REQUIRED)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GE CT equipment
- Prior experience in high-volume or trauma settings
- Work at a top-tier facility with Level I Trauma and Magnet designation
- Gain exposure to high-acuity and diverse patient populations
- Be part of a teaching hospital with advanced imaging practices
- Competitive schedule with limited on-call (2-3 shifts/month)
- No holiday requirement and no floating
- Access to modern technology including Epic EMR and GE CT systems
- Supportive work environment with on-site supervision
- Free onsite parking and well-equipped facility
